The process of
developing a website
can seem daunting.
It doesn't have to
be. |

To make the process simpler, we have developed a
checklist for you to go through,
in the hopes that it will bring
focus to your efforts. |

Websites that you like |
|
In order for us to
better understand what it is that
you are looking for when it comes to
the overall “look” of your site we
recommend sending us links to at
least five (5) sites that you think
are attractive, after which you
would like your site to be modeled.
Please make reference to specific
things in each site that you like or
don’t like. This will allow us to
reach a site layout/design that is
to your liking more quickly as it
removes much of the guesswork and
misunderstandings that can occur
between us and the client. |

Logo |

Please send us
several digital versions of your
logo if possible. If you had a
graphic designer design your logo
please have them contact us or vice
versa so that we can obtain the best
logo for the purpose of your
website. |

Photos |
|
Gather together any
photos that you would like
integrated into your site. Some of
these photos are going to be general
photos that represent your business
or site purpose and some will be
more specific such as staff photos,
product photos or perhaps photos of
completed jobs for past customers.
Most of what browsers remember about
a site are the photos on the site.
We prefer these photos to be in some
sort of digital format, preferably
.jpg. If the photos need to be
scanned the cost is $3.00 per photo. |

Pages and Titles

Think of how many
pages you would like to have in your
site and what you would like them to
be titled. Most sites contain at
least the following pages: Home,
Links, Contact. You may want pages
for Products, Services, Meet the
Staff, Customers, etc. depending on
the nature of the site and its
purpose. |

Content for Each Page |
|
Along with photos
which we have already mentioned we
will need the content information
for each page. We request that this
be in a digital format, preferably
Microsoft Word or some sort of text
file. We are not Microsoft
Publisher compatible. We will
typeset hardcopy content for a fee
of $25.00/hour. |

Contact Information |
|
Please advise us as
to the contact information that you
would like to have on the site. You
should ask the following questions:
Do we need our mailing address?
Would we like to include directions
to our location? What email address
would we like to have on our
website? Do we want to publish our
fax number on the website? Perhaps
you have several departments and
would like inquiries for each
department to go to the manager of
each department. |
